Take a birds eye view with a drone camera in the air

Your aerial wedding or special event photography and video can capture dynamic, illustrative videos and photographs that display the scope and scenic context of your event. Drones offer unique and grand perspectives of the beautiful locations where you choose to get married.

My drone will operate above your wedding party to get an aerial photograph that will fit you, your family and guests into one photograph, as well as taking photographs of the two of you from a more unique angle as shown in the slides how below.

Be creative with your drone camera photographs & video

Drones are so versatile and allow you to be more creative with your wedding photography to make your day even more special but also a great way of making all of your friends jealous that they didn’t have photographs or video taken by drone at their wedding.

Safety

As a commercial drone operator I carry full public liability insurance and i’m fully approved for aerial activities by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). Safety is my main priority; I do not fly close to wedding guests and where possible I avoid flying over people.

Please see the Information page for more details or the Drone Law and Flight Safety pages for a summery of the laws and rules effecting drone flying.

What I need from you.

When you Contact Me I will need certain details from you. These will include the location of the assignment (Address and Postcode if possible) and any features which identify the site. A breif outline of what the assignment is for and what you would like me to do.

What happens next?

I will carry out and online assessment of the location for any potential risk. If I can’t see any risks I will contact the location or venue to check on their policy regarding operating drones on their property. I may have to get permission from neighbouring property’s.

Once I have done this I will send you an estimate. If you are happy with the estimate I will arrange to vist the site to visually check check for hazards and if possible ways to mitigate the risk. I will also arrange to meet with you, either when visiting the location or after I have visited it.

As you can see, although the actual time on site taking photographs or video may be short, there is a lot of work going on behind the scene to keep things safe and legal.

Things to consider

  • Drones are not quiet, and can be disruptive, so ours drones are grounded for any important moments.
  • Not every venue is drone friendly. You must have the permission of the venue to fly and their staff need to be fully briefed.
  • Make sure you allow time to get the aerial shots. Drone shots need to be planned as they do attract attention away from the wedding when they are flying. They best time to fly is when your guests are outside mingling or standing around
  • Drones cannot fly in rain or high winds. Drone pilots have the final say on the day whether they can fly or not.
